A combination of a partial repave and the newness of the track on the Cup schedule creates an intriguing challenge for the drivers and teams. Tire wear was an issue during Friday's practice and Saturday's Xfinity Series race.

Follow along with our live race updates, with green flag set for after 6 p.m. CT on Sunday.

Lap 334: Ryan Blaney is handling lap traffic well

Ryan Blaney is working through lap traffic very well, extending his lead to 1.3 seconds over William Byron.

Lap 320: Ryan Blaney continues to lead as Chase Elliott closes in on second

Ryan Blaney leads by a second with 30 laps to go. Chase Elliott is within a half-second of William Byron for second place.

What about tire wear? Is there a late-race caution in the future?

Christopher Bell has had a quiet day but is in fifth place.

Lap 295: Ryan Blaney leads William Byron by less than a second

Ryan Blaney's lead over William Byron is 0.8 seconds. Chase Elliott is third, 2.8 seconds behind the leader.

Elliott surged late in the previous long green flag run, but is that too large a margin to make up?

Josh Berry has not made up much ground on four tires, running sixth.

Lap 272: Kyle Busch goes to the garage

Kyle Busch makes contact with the wall after restarting inside the top 10 and slows. At first, the No. 8 team changes tires. But it appears Busch's car has a bigger issue, and he is going behind the wall. Busch's 2024 struggles continue.

In a later interview with NBC, Busch says the team fixed an issue in the rear that was impacting the steering, then a power-steering belt broke in the car.

Lap 266: Ryan Blaney leads with two tires

Ryan Blaney comes off pit road with the lead after a two-tire stop and holds his position on the restart. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is second after a two-tire stop.

Lap 260: Chris Buescher flat tire

Chris Buescher is in the wall with a flat right-front tire, and the caution is out. Buescher was in fifth when the incident occurred.

Lap 232: Josh Berry leads Chris Buescher

Josh Berry passes Chris Buescher in a testy exchange to take the lead. This would be a monumental win for Berry, but plenty of racing left.

Lap 219: Kyle Larson crashes!

Kyle Larson gets taken three wide behind the top three and gets turned into the wall while collecting Denny Hamlin.

It looks like Bubba Wallace squeezed Daniel Suarez up the track before Suarez ran into Larson. Hamlin and Larson both have damage and both report issues with the right-front toe link.

Kyle Larson wins Stage 2

Kyle Larson comes from 33rd to first and wins Stage 2. Josh Berry holds off Chase Elliott for second place.

The top 10:

  1. Kyle Larson
  2. Josh Berry
  3. Chase Elliott
  4. Ryan Blaney
  5. Bubba Wallace
  6. Denny Hamlin
  7. Chris Buescher
  8. Todd Gilliland
  9. Brad Keselowski
  10. Justin Haley

Lap 190: Kyle Larson rockets to the lead

Kyle Larson surges to the lead on the restart, with Josh Berry close behind. It's a big group of cars behind the top 5 racing all over the place.

Lap 183: Daniel Hemric brings out the caution

Daniel Hemric is in the wall, and the caution is out. It appears about seven cars did not pit and will do so during the caution period. Several cars also caught a lap down.

Lap 175: Pit stops and tire issues

Kyle Larson and Ross Chastain both slow before coming down pit road as green flag stops begin. Chastain's right-front tire nearly comes apart but doesn't damage the fender too badly.

While that happens, Chase Elliott passes Ryan Blaney for the lead before both pit.

Lap 146: Chase Elliott to P2 as Denny Hamlin is lapped

Ryan Blaney laps Denny Hamlin, who is currently 27th. Blaney's lead over second-place Chase Elliott is 1.4 seconds.

Kyle Busch pitted from inside the top 10 but it didn't trigger a green flag pit stop cycle quite yet.

Lap 130: Chase Elliott to third

Chase Elliott is up to third place after passing Joey Logano.

Some drivers complaining about tire wear. Zane Smith has a tire down, apparently the right-front tire. No caution.

Kyle Larson is up to seventh but his surge up the leaderboard has slowed a bit. Denny Hamlin is 29th and a couple seconds away from being lapped.

Lap 115: Michael McDowell pits for a flat tire

Michael McDowell's right-front tire is down, and he pits. That's a tough luck moment for the No. 34 Front Row Motorsports Ford with no caution, but he didn't get too much damage.

Lap 100: Kyle Larson returns to the top 15

Kyle Larson is already inside the top 15 after less than 15 laps in the current run.

Ryan Blaney's lead over Joey Logano is about three car-lengths. Josh Berry has surged to fourth and is closing in on the other leaders.

Lap 88: Ryan Blaney leads

Without Kyle Larson up front, Ryan Blaney leads the pack after the restart.

Josh Berry is in the top 10, as is Alex Bowman, who started outside the top 30.

Kyle Larson pits from the lead

Concern about a potential flat tire after contact with Ryan Blaney sends Kyle Larson down pit road alone for new tires during the caution.

Plenty of time for the No. 5 Chevrolet to rise back up the leaderboard, but a lot of work ahead for Larson.

Lap 81: Noah Gragson, John Hunter Nemechek bring out caution

Noah Gragson and John Hunter Nemechek nearly crash after Nemechek gets into the corner a little too deep. Caution is out, but neither car made contact with the wall.

Josh Berry pitted during the stage caution and is already up to 12th.

Ryan Blaney wins Stage 1

Ryan Blaney holds off Kyle Larson to win Stage 1 and pick up the playoff point.

The top 10:

  2. Kyle Larson
  3. Daniel Suarez
  4. William Byron
  5. Josh Berry
  6. Joey Logano
  7. Corey Lajoie
  8. Brad Keselowski
  9. Chase Elliott
  10. Kyle Busch

Corey Lajoie gets some stage points after getting two tires during the previous pit stop.

Lap 62: Ryan Blaney takes the lead

Ryan Blaney drives by Kyle Larson on the outside, with help from a wiggle by Larson. Will he steal the playoff point?

Lap 59: Kyle Larson retakes the lead

Daniel Suarez and Brad Keselowski stay out and lead the field to the green flag restart. Kyle Larson leads anyway through turns 3 and 4.

Justin Haley was penalized for equipment interference after a good start to his day. He'll be in the back of the pack.

Also, lapped cars took the wave-around, including Denny Hamlin.

Lap 52: AJ Allmendinger cuts down tire

AJ Allmendinger slaps the Turn 1 wall as the right-front tire goes down. With 18 laps to go in Stage 1, who will pit?

Lap 50: Kyle Larson is cruising

Kyle Larson has already lapped up to 28th place as he has a 1.6 second lead over Ryan Blaney and 9.3 seconds over third-place Josh Berry.

Chase Elliott has surged to seventh place.

Lap 38: Denny Hamlin goes one lap down

Denny Hamlin is a lap down in 33rd place as his car continues to run poorly. That is a stunning start to the evening for the No. 11 Toyota.

Lap 24: Denny Hamlin is struggling big-time

Denny Hamlin is in danger of falling outside the top 30 as he is "plowing" through the corners.

"It's like the tires are on backwards," Hamlin reports on the radio.

Lap 15: Chase Briscoe surges, Kyle Larson takes the lead

Kyle Larson takes the lead from Ryan Blaney from the outside lane on the restart, and Chase Briscoe moves to second.

Lap 4: Corey Lajoie spins after Spire accordion

All three Spire Motorsports cars get into one another, and Corey Lajoie spins. Caution is out.

Green flag!

The Iowa Corn 350 is underway. After a couple laps, Ryan Blaney edges past Kyle Larson for the lead.
